Restaurants Near UMN Campus

Certain food can make you feel at home and when I eat at one of these places… I feel right at home. Coming from Milwaukee, WI, UMN was the furthest I have ever lived from home in my life. Once I entered my second year of school it was apparent that the thing I missed most was my mom’s cooking. My new roommate, Wyatt Roth, and I quickly developed a hankering for eating out.

Wally’s

By far my favorite place. It mmediately became one of my most frequently visited spots. Stepping into Wally’s feels like entering a new world with exotic smells hitting your face. There is nothing better than ordering a chicken shawarma from here. The garlic sauce is top notch and makes everything taste better. This place will be missed almost as much as I missed my mom’s cooking when I move away.

Frank & Andrea’s

Pizza and especially this pizza will be satisfactory at any time of the day. Franks closes at 3am so there have been countless pizza runs in the middle of the night. It never fails to disappoint and it is always a solid choice.

Kbop

No other place on this list has more variety than Kbop. This is in my top three because you can walk in there to order Sushi, wings, fried rice, and a plethora of different platters.
